Solicitors & financial advisers

Secure IT for solicitors & financial advisers

Solicitors were among Vipertech's very first clients in 2000. We know client confidentiality isn't optional – so we build IT that keeps sensitive data locked down, helps you answer the security questions you're asked, and keeps your team working.

Trusted since 2000

Confidentiality, built in

Law firms, mortgage advisers and financial planners hold exactly the kind of data criminals want: ID documents, bank details and client funds. One convincing fake email can be enough to divert a payment or expose a client.

We put the right protection in place and look after it for you: encrypted email, multi-factor sign-in, secure document sharing, encrypted devices and backups that are actually tested. And when your regulator, insurer or a client asks how you protect their data, we help you answer.

  • Encrypted email and secure document sharing
  • Multi-factor sign-in on every account

How we protect your practice

Security your clients can trust

Practical, proportionate protection – set up properly and managed for you, so it doesn't get in the way of your work.

Encrypted email

Send confidential documents and client correspondence securely, with protection against spoofing and impersonation.

Multi-factor sign-in

A stolen password isn't enough to get into your email or files – the most effective single step against account takeover.

Secure document sharing

Share contracts, ID and financial documents with clients safely, instead of as ordinary email attachments.

Encrypted devices

Laptops and phones encrypted and managed centrally, so a lost device doesn't become a data breach – and can be wiped remotely.

Tested backups

Automatic, encrypted off-site backups, restore-tested so you can recover from ransomware or a deleted file.

Questionnaire support

Clear answers for regulator, insurer and client security questionnaires, backed by the measures actually in place.

In a profession built on trust, one fake email can undo years of reputation. Our job is to make sure it never gets through.

FAQs

Common
questions

Can't see what you're looking for? Ask us directly.

How do you protect us against payment fraud emails?

We lock down email with filtering, authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) and multi-factor sign-in, and help your team spot the warning signs. Together with a call-back check for any change of bank details, it closes the door most fraudsters rely on.

Can you help with our regulator's or insurer's security questions?

Yes. We help you answer security questionnaires from regulators, professional indemnity and cyber insurers, lenders and clients, based on the measures we've actually put in place.

Is encrypted email difficult for clients to use?

No. Day-to-day email works just as it does now, and clients open secure messages through a simple link without needing special software.

What happens if a laptop is lost or stolen?

Because devices are encrypted and centrally managed, the data on them can't be read, and we can wipe the device remotely.

Do you work with firms outside Yorkshire?

Yes. We're based in North Yorkshire, but most support is delivered remotely, so we look after practices across the UK, with on-site visits when they're needed.
